Sou\u010dasn\u00fd renesan\u010dn\u00ed kastel se \u010dty\u0159mi n\u00e1ro\u017en\u00edmi v\u011b\u017eemi vznikl v prvn\u00ed polovin\u011b 17. stolet\u00ed pro Colloredo barony; l\u00e9no dr\u017eeli od po\u010d\u00e1tku 16. stolet\u00ed. Roku 1798 jej koupil Jan K\u0159titel II Catterini von Erzberg. Koncem 19. stolet\u00ed \u0161pan\u011blsk\u00fd hrab\u011b Silverio de Baguer z\u00e1mek obnovil a roku 1885 zde otev\u0159el muzeum s v\u00edce ne\u017e 600 p\u0159edm\u011bty. Za prvn\u00ed sv\u011btov\u00e9 v\u00e1lky tu s\u00eddlili ital\u0161t\u00ed velitel\u00e9, v\u010detn\u011b spisovatele Uga Ojettiho; ve druh\u00e9 v\u00e1lce byl objekt vykraden (p\u0159es 2 000 p\u0159edm\u011bt\u016f). Gori\u0161ki Muzej spravuje hrad od roku 1974 a v letech 1979\u20131991 jej rekonstruoval.
