Od takrat se je mesto \u0161irilo proti Mandraku in vklju\u010devalo vse ve\u010d \u010detrti, ki so prvotno nastale zunaj obzidja. Zaradi rasti mesta in za\u0161\u010dite pred sovra\u017enikovimi napadi so zgradili dva dodatna dela obzidja, vklju\u010dno z ve\u010d obrambnimi stolpi. Its largest preserved section known as Mogoron holds an incredible historical value.<br \/>\nSeven gates that used to be the entrances to the city remain preserved in Piran: The Milje Gate (9A), the Dolfin Gate (9B), the Field Gate (9C), the Baroque Gate of St. George (9D), the Mar\u010dana Gate (9E), the First Ra\u0161por Gate (9F) and the Second Ra\u0161por Gate (9G). Vrata Milje (9A) so ena najstarej\u0161ih ohranjenih vrat v mestu. Dolfinska vrata (9B) so najlep\u0161a gotska vrata v mestu in izvirajo iz 15. stoletja, ko jih je dal izdelati takratni \u017eupan Dolfin.
